Is AI reinventing trust frameworks?

Madrid, March 11, 2024.- Every day we wake up with a new AI (Artificial Intelligence), a new machine learning algorithm that leaves us surprised by the empowerment of computing. However, today, management empowerment, the stage of generating trust among your business colleagues, is what keeps me most passionate.

A company is the collective effort of professionals, technology and market vision to meet viable business objectives. The energy that compacts this project is a formwork of trust from the Managers to the employees, partners, suppliers, clients, etc. And vice versa. It is about aligning the talent of numerous people towards a common goal. Trust is a tool whose monitoring in each company offers great tangible and intangible returns.

Recently, Forbes magazine highlighted the reinvention of Speed of Trust with this new trend: “Many companies that decide to challenge the status quo opt for speed and fast disruption. But in their focus on the “what” they need to change, they often neglect the “how” they are doing it. So, it can appear that such organizations appearing are moving fast and outperforming expectations, but deep inside they are run by teams where psychological safety, trust and belonging fall by the wayside. Over the years, we’ve come to believe that you have to choose between speed and steadiness; that if you’re going to be a disruptor in the market, you might just have to “break” some things to get there”.

Stephen M.R Covey: The Speed of Trust concept

In any case, today we analyze Speed of Trust thanks to its author and his work. Stephen M. R. Covey shows how trust—and the speed at which it is established with clients, employees, and all stakeholders—is the single most critical component of a successful leader and organization. Stephen M. R. Covey, widely known as one of the world’s leading authorities on trust, asserts that it is “the most overlooked, misunderstood, underutilized asset to enable performance. Its impact, for good or bad, is dramatic and pervasive. It’s something you can’t escape.” Thankfully, it’s is also the thing that can dramatically improve your personal and professional success. Why trust? The simple, often overlooked fact is this: work gets done with and through people. And Stephen M.R. Covey adds in his presentation:

The economics of trust and its effects on speed and cost in relation- ships and organizations.

How you can assess your credibility based on character and competence.

The 13 Behaviors common in people with high-trust relationships.

The taxes and dividends that flow from organizational trust.

How micro trust issues in the self and in relationships flow outward to affect market reputation and societal contribution.

How to be an effective leader by inspiring and extending trust.

 How to restore lost trust.

As explained by Stephen M.R Covey, there is one thing that is common to every individual, relationship, team, family, organization, nation, economy and civilization throughout the world — one thing which, if removed, will destroy the most powerful government, the most successful business, the most thriving economy, the most influential leadership, the greatest friendship, the strongest character, the deepest love. On the other hand, if developed and leveraged, that one thing has the potential to create unparalleled success and prosperity in every dimension of life. That one thing is trust. The Five Waves of Trust model serves as a metaphor for how trust operates in our lives. This summary will cover these forms as the structure for understanding and making trust actionable, including a look at the Four Cores of credibility and the 13 Behaviors of high-trust leaders. The summary concludes with a section on restoring lost trust on the societal, market, organizational, relationship and personal level. In all cases, the Four Cores and 13 Behaviors provide powerful restoration models.

In short: Is AI necessary, intelligent software to boost the framework of trust? The answer lies in people and their professional careers. Ambitions and passions without binary code… or yes?.
